Well, three months without updating is better than seven months, right? =P
Lots of things to think about recently. HNR is going through some growing pains, and I started coaching another musical improv group that’s just getting off the ground, so between work, improv and Dinner Detective shows I’m lucky to get seven hours of sleep a night. GTA4 isn’t really helping either.
HNR had its first show in six months last Thursday. It was a solid performance, but I think our collective skills were hampered by technical glitches, venue issues, and the nerves that come with being part of a new group. This was technically our second show with the new lineup, our first being the corporate show back in April. It was our first go at a longform musical.

Seven long months since I last posted an update. Seven months! Good lord, what’s wrong with me? Wow. Since last July, HNR has been through a world of changes, possibly two.
The weekly show we’d landed has long since been cancelled, mainly due to scheduling conflicts. It felt good to be performing once a week for a while, but the space wasn’t ideal, and those free shows were pulling audience and focus away from our paying shows, which were always more important.
